Soil temperatures are bouncing around so there's no real confirmation of Spring arriving either than the sweet aroma of the neighbours' Jasmine vine viciously attacking my mandarin and camellias out the back... Note - cut the jasmine at the fence line*
A little more about the soil this weekend and not a lot of activity. Lay down some kelp, wetter, and humic and water in to taste. Remember to humic the vegepod (photos to come soon) and passionfruit vine.. The weather forecast ahead is for more rain (clearing around Tuesday) so no need to water in the liquids.
After the rains of this week there is a distinct greener tinge around the lawn as it responds to the earlier feeding.
Start preparing for trimming a few hedges (murraya and buxus for example) and pull out the mulcher to make sure its ready for a new season. I haven't bought garden mulch for well over 15 years as the DIY option provides plenty of new organics each year..
Next week will be a top up organic fertilise and the start of the Sydney Grade cricket season..
Cheers,
TC.
