Converse Victa is about the only one that uses a snorkel, the odd Rover had a snorkel but the 4 strokes all have a low level filter, easier to make the motors fit in a box as they are manufactured. Another thing I did notice is that you can cut the grass wet or dry. Cutting it wet will end up a race to see what fails first the base or the motor, either way they won't be worth picking up off the side of the road in a few years time
Another thing I am curious on is are these motors being made in the US, I thought all Briggs motors were now being made in China, except for one of the bigger ride on motors. My belief would be that these are shipped to Aus in boxes as complete mowers not bases from China and motors from the US shipped to Aus and assembled here and then reboxed. I can't see US made motors being shipped to China to be fitted on these. I think there is a few porkies being told here or maybe it is just the cynic in me, either way the public is being hoodwinked
