I have a FCSP Mustang with that dial.
G'day Mowerfreak,

My original full crank Commando from 1982 has the G4 with the idle screw and it seems to work fine on my mower, but as I said I had to add those 2 brass washers into the carby to get the idle adjustment to work properly again.

I added in those 2 brass washers back in 2011 after I asked about it on these forums and it still works great to this day. They must need these washers to be added in after so many years of wear on the carby. I added them in after 29 years of use on my mower.

I don't know if they done away with the G4 and the idle screw in 1978, as my original full crank commando from 1982 had the G4 with the idle adjustment screw fitted from new.

Well that's all I can go on because it's the one and only mower that I know has been in the family since brand new. I don't know what others out there may have come across but maybe they ran most full cranks out with these idle screw G4 carbies?

Then when they went to the new powertorque engines in 1984 or so I think all the new PT engines where fitted with the LM carby with no idle adjustment.

Zip a dee doo dah, zip a dee ay, another trash picked Victa, hip hip Hooray!
