Well speedy, I really hate to be the bearer of ill tidings, but that WD-40 use may well come back to haunt you!

When WD-40 dries out, it becomes a sticky brown crud, that's really good at gumming things up.

This stuff is the shizzle, for a general purpose spray electrical lube/dewatering fluid;
