I think all the switches have been disabled as I have started it with the blade engaged previously......
the next day, after I let the mower spend the night out in the paddock, it started... I think it could be a fuel/flooding issue, where the fuel tap connects to the carby bit it is not screwed in tight...
I was on it again this afternoon and then the chain came off and it appears as though the two cogs are not in alignment so something has shifted. Off to the mower shop tomorrow.
Starting to wonder if a 2nd hand mower was such a good idea.. If only I knew more about mechanics and small engines..
thanks for your ideas so far, I know have some jumper leads for it so I can start from the car battery when the mower battery dies after repeated attempts.. :-)
