Hello ODK History Lovers

The Victa G4 carburettor was revolutionary. This was a clever design specifically engineered
for lawnmower applications. Victa came late to governing their engines. The Predicta system of
the fifties - Victa Automatic was really a knee-jerk response to the mechanically governed
Villiers 7F (released in 1957), arguably the first governed 2-stroke lawnmower engine to be
used in Australia. The Predicta system, in comparison, was an engineering embarrassment.

About a decade later (1968) Victa introduced their first governed mowers - their air vane designs -
in the form of the G2, and later the G3.

This Technical Bulletin was issued to all Victa Dealers in May, 1975.
It includes an outline of the operation and servicing of the G4. The Bulletin also includes
a diagram of the original specification and service part numbers.
