I can't really comment on the blade design or the spacing (I have no idea).
I can say that the pricing (for laser cutting) is way below any retail price for
commercial cutter blades.
It appears to me, for residential use, mild steel blades are the way to go.
At your pricing, a replacement set after a couple of seasons would be very economical.
