I have had trouble with these in the past, I normally strip them to clean everything, but the result for me is they are hard to start, but once started they run fine.

I havnt separated carby from tank yet, I will leave it for now.

By pre-loading do you mean, the wire attached to the diaphragm?

I will watch out for warping.
