thanks for replying to my first post here. I think my coil is the older version, however I'll just put up a new photo here. Can I confirm that if my coil's the older one - the short brown cord needn't be hooked up at all, just the 2 cut-off leads off the new lead assembly / loom? If so, I'll just snip the brown cable off.
