Hi folks,

This is a great site. I recently bought a Scott Bonnar 45 in pretty good condition and I'm just trying to find out how old it is. I can't seem to locate the engine no. but the model no. is 450580. From other post i'm guessing late 80's early 90's. I'ts paint is in pretty tidy condition and it is a slightly different green to the hammertone green of the older models. It's more of a ligther green and very smooth finish. I'll post some pics later. The previous owner of our house had a reel mower and the lawn is blue couch but has gotten a bit longer since we've had it. What I've done is cut it right back with the rotary mower and started going over it with the SB. I've also used a rake and raked up alot of the runners and cut them back as well to thin it out so I can cut it lower again. Is this the best process to get the lawn back to a lower cut height for the SB?

Any help appreciated
