Can't see your pic. Did you identify the date from the motor? I have a couple of 17' 45's, the later of the two (in parts in the shed) is model number 45058, and has a 1987 B&S motor - I assume is original. The older one is model number 450423 but has a newish B&S motor so I cannot date this one. It has the old round Scott Bonnar logo. I reckon it would have had a Tecumesh motor originally. Can anyone confirm my thinking.
Also can anyone give me an indication of how fast these mowers should go? Maybe I'm revving the motor too much but when I engage the drive it really takes off. I basically have to ride the clutch to run at a reasonble pace.
