Impressive Norm, but that does add overall weight to the mower. I don't find the bar blade that bad except when you have to try and order the right one as replacement.
One advantage I can think of is the bar blade leaves plenty of room under the deck for the clippings to travel.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
