I know you have had the issue - of dead links - a few times before.
I'm not sure why that is so.
But I think I have a work-around: -
Try using the 'Full Editor' when adding links.
No need to use the 'Inset Link' button though.
Any hyperlink pasted into the body should be
recognised automatically as a hyperlink.
I would like to sort this issue.
