I've never been a fan of impulse starters so if I have a mower that gets used a fair amount I would always convert to zip start. .
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't care for the wind up start. It gets laborious very quickly when the engine needs more than two attempts to fire.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
