A small AUS lawnmower had always perplexed me...

I could find nothing about it! It was the small Mi-T-Mow rotary.
A simple 15” machine with an alloy ‘toe cutter’ base,

it always presented as a 1950s lawnmower. And so it was …

It was only in recent times that I could identify who made it.
It’s a rare Australian rotary lawnmower. The Mi-T-Mow was made
by Malvin Engineering of 74 Thistlethwaite Street, South-
Melbourne
.

The Mi-T-Mow appears to have been powered at times by two engines:
A Villiers and a Trojan, and it appears it sold for just a couple of
years – from about 1957 to 1958. I note that evidence suggests an
Australian Simplex engine may have also been used.
