Hi all,

Anyone recognise these machines? I'm accepting delivery of these tomorrow night (And a Victa with Tecumseh 4 stroke to resell) all for swaps with an Aussie made powertorque. Good deal I think! rockband

Any information on any of them would be much appreciated. I know the side throw is a pope and the one missing the wind up is an HG Palmer but other than that I know nothing.

Thanks,
Pete.

Hello Pete

Well that's an eclectic mix!
On an initial look I'd say:-
[1] Pope with Clinton 4-stroke (1970s)
[2] H.G. Palmer (1960s)
[3] Morrison or Masport

We should be bale to get more info. with more photos.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Jack. Much appreciated. I actually thought the Palmer was missing the wind up. Just had another look at the photo blush

When I actually receive them I'll post some better photo's.

Thanks,
Pete

Yep,

Here is the Pope starter. Handsome motor.
I think I was very wrong in saying it was a 4-stroke.

Thanks,

By chance would anyone know if a Victa 18 recoil starter would fit temporarily until the correct one could be found?

Well it all arrived today. Also sold the bloke a workshop manual!

All in all a fair bit to keep me busy for a while ...

Dave; The bolt thing sticking out of the front of the pope appears to be exactly what it looks like - A bolt. Not sure why but there must be a reason. I'll have a closer look when I get a chance on Tuesday and it's not so cold. I'll take some photos then too.

Jack; right on about it being the 2 stroke. None of the engines are seized but all need a lot of work. These can all wait for now I think!
