Hi to All,
I have a mate that dropped this machine off to see if maybe I could help him fix it.....
Unfortunately, it has had rather a hard life, though the 2 stroke Powertorque runs well, the self propelled drive is cactus....
Also most of the numbers on the air filter sticker have disappeared, so accurately identifying this beast may prove a prob. Here are some pics.... [Linked Image]

My question is, are transmission parts still available for this model?

I have found, using the Victa model info guide in the Parts Lists and the remains of the model number on the sticker, that this machine is Model no: AO 064-AA90...1991-1992 Pro 550 2ST S/P....
Hoping this helps.....

Darryl,

I assume that most of the parts should be available depending on what you want. cheers2

First thing as we've spoken abour mate find out whats going on with the cable not moving at the transmission end, chances are it will save a lot of buggering around.

I currently hhave possession of this particular machine, I am yet to strip down the transmission, but something is completely shot to Poo... The drive pulley free wheels and has an half inch of up and down movement, when I get some time I will pull it down for a final analysis...

Hi,
Mine has similar symptoms. Suddenly the drive stopped whilst working. Expected a broken belt but no. As with yours the drive pulley spins freely. Must be in the gearbox.

Did you dismantle yours and manage to mend it ? About to dismantle mine now.
