Hello ODK history lovers
I am an animal lover and I do not particularly love this story; but I record
it as a matter of interest. At least, it had a happy ending…

I came across it by chance, when researching a Melbourne company –
Finlay Brothers – who were important importers, makers, and sellers
of all sorts of machinery – push bikes, motor bikes, motor cars, and
garden machinery, including motor mowers.

Finlay Bros operated for more than half-a-century, from about 1900
to the 1960s of the 20th Century. Amazing!

This is a most amazing story told here, a six-week journey from New York
to Melbourne, and it occurred over a century ago!
