Hello Blended
I have written many times about the difficulties in identifying
lawn edgers in Australia. Edgers, being more simple to manufacture,
were a common take-up by small engineering companies when
lawnmower making was beyond the reach or capacity of small
companies - after the 1950s.
It is only luck that I can identify this one ...
It was made by the Cruiser Manufacturing Company
of 17 Fountain Street, Alexandria, NSW.
Many thanks for the great images, and the recording of this
rare machine.
This machine records the little engineering company that made
a go of garden products against the big makers.
Well worth preserving - now that it has a name!
Cheers

Hey Jack!
Thanks kindly for the reply. I perused the forums looking for one of these with no luck.
I had read here, on more than one occasion, the difficulties in identifying edgers.
I am glad i posted though as you have nailed it. Thank you.
I will push this little one back in and save it for a rainy day.
