Greenfield Hoarder
Hi Members! Just a quick introduction to say hi! My name is Wayne, I'm from the beautiful Hunter Valley NSW. I will mostly be loitering around the ride on area as i have a pair of Greenfield's that i am currently planing a project with. Some i imagine may not like it, but more to come on this soon :) a little about myself... I'm late 30's and have grown up tinkering with anything and everything. My father (medically retired) buys, sells, services and repairs mowers, whipper snippers and the likes to make ends meet since he was unable to continue working. Given this, i have a fairly good mechanical and electrical knowledge of most things with a small engine. That and the fact i grew up in a time where a boy would hang out of his dads pocket, unlike today's kids. I also have an unhealthy obsession for Volkswagen's. I have a big blended family, a beautiful wife and lots of kids (hence the user name). It can prove a struggle at times but i wouldn't change a thing. I have also been involved in, run and even owned a forum in the past so have a good understanding of how things work, up front and behind the scenes. I am looking forward to becoming an active and involved member and meeting new people along the way. Glad to be a part of this community and i look forward to reading, posting and chatting with you all! -Blended

Hello Blended, Gizmo and Mod bigted

Blended, that is a great - brilliant - and enigmatic introduction.
I really hope you enjoy these forums. I feel you can give back a lot.

I'm thinking you're Caractacus Pott from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang ...?
You describe an idealistic lifestyle.

G'day Wayne.
Many thanks for that great reply.
And many thanks for putting the 'bang bang' back into an
otherwise 'chitty chitty' world.

When you mentioned VWs one company came to memory...
the once-great HG Palmer: -

Hi Jack, how times change, service is a word that has gone out of fashion these days, can you imagine any company having a "service fleet" like that ever again, it is from a bygone time.

Yes Norm!
'Service' is such an old-fashioned concept.

'Service' is a word as misused as 'luxury' today.
Who are they trying to kid?!

I have a lot of respect for Palmers - because they were an early
mass merchandiser that did service what it sold.

Who does that now?!!!
