Hello ODK History Lovers
News Cuttings was Victa's official news publication to its dealer network. Introduced in the
late 1950s, it would be no more than a few pages in length.

This late 1962 issue is of some interest, and it continues many of the themes from the
mid-1962 issue. There is the obligatory front-page image of Victa Tourers.



The front page also covers the typical Victa-assisted competition prize - a new Viceroy.
That is a significant and poignant prize at this time. For me, the major story of page One must be
the article, Why We Made Late Start. That article explains the late introduction of the 1963 range:-

More Dealer focus on Page Two.
There was a story on Warry's in Maryborough, the new Victa Spare Parts Price List; a Queenslander
who can't address a letter - My highlight story goes to the new Victa Service Mechanic's uniforms.
I'm not sure whether a green uniform with a black bow tie works:-

There are two great Victa Dealer stories on Page Three.
The first is one about R.T. Edwards and Sons of Ipswich (QLD); the second about Murray Oakley and Co. of Darwin.

The stand-out article for me was about Victa's success in establishing their UK office.



Page Four is generally reserved for technical and lighter stories, such as Victa Wise and Short Cuts.
There was an odd story about a Car, Mower Swap, and the technical stories were about the new
air filter for the 1963 Range , and oiling handles.
