Hello
ODK History Lovers
The ageing
Rancher 2 was looking decidedly old by the early 1980s.
A robust machine introduced in the late 1960s, it couldn't compete with
the newer Australian and imported designs entering the market in the 1970s.
The new
Rancher (Rover Red) replaced the Rancher 2 (Rover Blue) in
about 1983. The Rancher was a totally different, modern design.
This was a robust machine designed for Australian conditions, but with
North American styling cues and features.
By the mid-1980s, Rover was boasting - truthfully - that the Rancher
was
"Australia's Biggest Selling Ride-on Mower".
This
4-page brochure, represents the new Rancher for
1985, when the
GWA Group owned
Rover-Scott Bonnar Limited.
