Anyone know where I can locate the Serial # for my saw? I was told that it should be on a tag under the handle riveted to the shroud. No such luck. The is the red version with manual oiler. the flywheel cover logo has the XL over the 12.

That saw should have the numbers under the
handle to the right, but it came on a stick
on decal so if it is missing you probably
won't get it.

The red XL12 would have been mfgd between 1975~ thru 1987. There were few changes in that time. The solid state ign came in abt 1979~. The thumb pump was changed to plastic in the early '80's.
