Hi Guys

i got some drama with my 12.5hp tecumseh..

basicly i stripped it down, honed bore as it was just glazed inside bore.
put new rings within specs, valves seem ok,carby kit put in, new filter, fuel and air.assembled and it ran fine, blew some on initial start up 10 minutes then all was running smooth as.
now i just cant start it, compression seems ok, goes around to one point and gets compression tight?

new ignition thingo lol

i have now dissasembled again and all is ok internally and i lapped valves this time round.. can anyone advise on lash settings? .004 is what books said but its 3 years young engine.. any ideas???

Cheers

Toroman,

1. Did you put the conrod back on properly as per workshop manual?

2. Did you line up the timing marks for the valve lifter cam?

3. Did you put the rings in correctly pic below?

Are you using a workshop manual for your spec's?
