Hi all, can anyone shed some light on what models these engines are, they are both Victa 18 Specials (Toecutters). First serial number is AC18935, the second one is 258375. Thanks.
Attempts have been made to make sense of the numbers and letters, but after over half a century, much of that data has suffered corruption - by engine swapping, etc.
The 'AC' one was probably supplied to the unknown number of small lawnmower makers that used unbranded Victa engines in the 1950s, not to mention the 'store brand' Model 5s.
Hi MickyD and Jack ,the 258375 is the one I circled in red from the Vintagemowers.net image and the AC18935 I have seen on the next two models below the circled one but have never seen an original sales receipt for the AC number.
