Hello all Members, Users and Guests This is a significant announcement about the OutdoorKing forums.
We hope you understand ... There will now be a registration charge, to take effect shortly.
[THIS PAID REGISTRATION IS NOW IN EFFECT]
There has been considerable discussion in recent times about the future of the OutdoorKing Forums. It is clear that ODK is sure of an immediate future for years to come. But we need to ensure long-term ODK survival.
The basic principles are these: - [1] ODK believes in the free access to most information on its website.
[2] For ODK to survive in the future it must 'pay for itself'. To do this, a small charge will be made for certain features: -
- to post new topics or replies; - to download documents; - to view gallery images; - to send PMs.
[3] Previously, Subscription Pages were offered for Manuals. This has been abolished. Access to manuals will be at at the cheaper registration price - all Registered Members have access to manuals now.
[4] Registration price will be as follows: - The fees will be for twelve months at $5.00 USD annual fee. There is no automatic re-curing fee. You decide.
[5] The ODK Forums are diminished without Members helping other members. We thank all regular contributors to this project. You know who you are.
[6] We, at ODK, will need to get this right. Any issues or problems:- Contact a Mod, Bruce or Myself ODK Ph. 02-9011-6036 support@outdoorking.com.au

Thanks for your understanding. We hope this is a seamless change in our operation. The intention is to ensure the long term survival of these great forums.
PAID Membership is now in operation. These are the REGISTERED MEMBERS.
It was a most significant decision to implement this charge - as modest as it is... This site must pay for itself.
Registration is via an annual subscription to become a Registered Member. The price is less than 10 cents a week.
All USERS will have free read access to all public forums.
REGISTERED MEMBERS are for those who want more ... - to view gallery images; - to create or to reply to posts; - to download attachments; - to use the Personal Message System [PMs]
If you have any access issues then please contact us. [see first post]
This is great value: - Viewing all manuals is now part of the Subscription service. Registered members get the whole deal, and support this site in offering a vast and comprehensive resource for power equipment and its history.
WE understand that many folk have given back more than they have taken from this site. OUR intention is to support those who help others.
Registration - yes: We need to keep your Website going !
Back in August 2015, I asked for guidance with the Pully Belt as it had broken. Your support and replies to my questions that you gave, were amazing. Hey, its great knowing where to go, to get the right advise and support. Thank you!
