No one I've talked with has been able to give me a clear idea of why a chain saw can run so well for at least one-half of a tank full of gas and then not run well at all.
It will almost immediately start again but won't run for more than a secord or two. One symptom that seems like it would be significant is that when the saw starts to misbehave I've noticed air bubbles flowing in the gas line from the carb back to the gas tank. ("NOT" from the tank to the carb)
Does anyone out there have any ideas? I'd sure appreciate hearing some.
Sincerely,
R. Smith
