I am looking for an inlet/exhaust manifold and gasket, and a muffler for this engine, for a Mobilco swing saw. Can anyone help with these parts, or suggest a supplier, please?

G'day dince, Scary jigger, that one! And welcome to the ODK Forums. First port of call in Oz for BSA parts would be http://www.vaces.com.au/An engine instruction manual and parts list are available for download from https://www.internalfire.com/ , for a small donation via PayPal.
Cheers, Gadge

Not sure how Worksafe would view them these days but they did the job they had to do in their time, similar to the Mobilco self propelled slashers, did the job well but frowned upon now

Thank you, Gadge, for your welcome!

Yes, a dangerous beast! I also have used a Heavycut for many years. Can shear off a steel star picket, so what it fo to an ankle? Nevertheless, if care taken, does a great job!

With respect to Steve at Vaces, he has replied to my second email, and is going to send the parts I requested.

Gadge I remember hiring the Mobilco slashers well into the seventies for slashing blocks of land my parents had. Big advantage with these over the Victa 24 which is probably the best slasher around even today, if it had bigger rear wheels it would be better still. On very rough ground the wheels fall into holes and not being self propelled can be an issue to move around. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Yes, thats the unit I am working on! Im happy to get it going, then hand it over to someone much more agile to operate it!
