G'day mods,
The ride-on manuals are not real easy to find. Other manuals (push mower, engines etc) have a 'go to' in the forums list. Can't for the life of me find it for ride ons........perhaps I'm just a bit of a thicky........
Also couldn't get a couple of the greenfield manuals to open past the cover. Fully prepared to admit that problem might be at my end.
Cheers and thanks,
P.S. While searching for the manuals I was reminded of something..........
With apologies to Douglas Adams and Arthur Dent:
"The plans have been on display in a locked basement with a light that doesn't work in the bottom drawer of filing cabinet in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door that says 'Beware of the leopard'. ".....................or words to that effect :)
Hitchhiker fans will get it...

Gee that sounds like a Council statement about public consultation.
Cheers,
BB.

G'day BB,
Yup, that's exactly what it is- though I don't think local government has a monopoly. All levels of Government do.

Hello PRD and Sir Humphrey I will pass on this to the man they call Bruce. I feel this is a valid point you make. I will check the Greenfield manuals issue. Nice reference to Douglas Adams. He left us way too soon. ------------------------------------ Jack

Thanks Jack, and thanks Bruce in advance.
Very much the case Jack, way too soon. I reckon he was doing his best work at the end so, yes, I think we all very much missed out.
And yes, Sir Humphrey would be very pleased! 40 years on and so very little has changed......sigh...
Cheers,

prd, The ride on parts list and manuals now are shown in the list. As to issues with manuals not opening correctly I will need to know which specific one in order to correct them. It will save a lot of time as I have opened a few and all were ok.

G'day Bruce,
Many thanks. Very much appreciate the effort.
I've been mucking around on and off all day and have come to the conclusion that the PDF opening issue is with me. If it chucks a mood and won't open one of the pdf's, I close google and reopen and most times it works! This infernal iPad has been a pest with pdfs since ii was forced to do an update a while back. As a rule I never do updates unless absolutely necessary for this very reason! Sigh...
On a completely different topic, while stooging around the manuals I was reminded that a Victa industrial engine was briefly used in the mini tractor. I've decided to put getting one of these on my 'must have' list!
Many thanks again...
Cheers,

PDF files are best controlled by the PDF application. Browsers are configurable to do this, but the default is to open them in-browser. This causes problems. Cheers ----------------------- Jack

This message was also posted on Murray Ride-On Manuals page. Hi there. I am Dennis from Wellington, New Zealand. I was given an old Murray Ride-On that seems to run fine, but I can find NO information on it. I would love to be able to download an Owners Manual and/or Parts List. It's Designation Type is 40304X76. Manufactured 1997. This forum has a document listed with the same Designation Type 40304X76 but it appears to be empty. I have completed my subscription, but file itself is of little use. I would REALLY appreciate and assistance. The Ride-On was branded as a Masport in New Zealand, but Masport no longer hold any information on this model. Cheers, Dennis
