I have recently purchased a Scott Bonnar 17" 45 series mower which has a Chinese copy Honda on it. I would like to know if I can use SAE 30 oil in the engine, or some thing else?
Also how do I go about getting any parts for these engines? Do genuine Honda parts fit? Are there parts suppliers who stock parts for them?
My engine have a serial number engraved on the block and also has a sticker on the starter cover "M.B 6.5", and no other identification stickers or plates.
I'm sure you should use 10W~30 as those engines are basically built to Honda specs. Its still up in the air as to whether these are actually Honda's Grey Exports and as such I would just use the same grade of oil as a genuine Honda.
Cheers, BB.
I live a 24 Hour lifestyle, but every now and again I seem to fall asleep, well at least that's what my wife tells me.
Will get some 10W 30 for it as runs well and looks like a well built copy. I take it my copy would be of a GX160, as the dimensions of my engine are the same as what is listed on the Honda GX160 spec sheet.

Here is a YouTube Video for cleaning The Carburetor.
I have attached the Owners Manual so that you can go through it.
