Hi everybody have been doing a little research on some of the milestones of Victa. In partial their celebrating of the millionth mower.

Now all I can find info about is the 8 millionth mower, the 7 millionth was a Tornado 14 November 2004 and the 6 millionth was made in 1997.
Does anyone know (or even better) have pictures of the others. Like the 7th,6th etc, you know what I mean.

Also what were the dates of these, and did they do a special version?
Like they did for the 8 millionth.
It would be great if we could compile this together as I haven't found anything like it before.
Maybe I'm wrong maybe and it had been done.

OK after doing a bit more research all I can find is.
The One Millionth mower was manufactured in 1966.Not sure of what model though.
The Fourth Million mower was from 1983 which was a Mustang.

The Fifth Millionth mower was manufactured on 16 October 1989 and was also a Mustang.

The Seventh Millionth mower was manufactured on the 17 November 2004 and was a Tornado.

and last but by no means least (at this stage) is,the Eight Millionth mower which was manufactured 28 September 2011.It went on sale on quicksales and was sold for charity, which was for the RSPCA.Can't remember how much it sold for,but I think it was something over $600.

Now that's all the information I can find.I just can't seem to find anything else. Most of that information came from the Powerhouse Museum.Except from the last one which was just all over the place.
Does anybody know of any others?

the one millionth mower is said to be a 67 corvette
Interestingly enough I bought a low numbers corvette 2 from 67
Original owner said it was purchased as the one millionth
victa. Interestingly enough above the serial is 1M stamped in the
Crankcase.

Love to get my slimy hands on that as new white Mustang. Too good to cut a lawn with.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Although it was a late 66 it would have most likely been 67 season release

Not sure how I read this, was the 1 millionth Victa an Imperial or was it that the Imperial was introduced the same year as the 1 millionth was produced?

I would agree with that.

The list has the half million mark 1960.

I read it as the Imperial was introduced the same year as the 1 millionth was produced.

A limited edition gold Victa marks the 6 millionth Victa mower produced.

it's interesting though there is no pictures or info on
The millionth after reading your time line the millionth mower
Was made at the same time the imperial was released
But the millionth wasn't an imperial.

G'day all
I think Max's interpretation of this primary document is correct.

The Imperial was introduced in late 1966 for the 1967 Range.

It appears that at some point - December 1966 - the 1 millionth mark was reached
for total production of Victa lawnmowers.

160cc corvette, have been trying to find information because
The corvette I have here is supposedly the millionth machine
Serial suits the time frame and has an odd 1M stamp above the
Serial number

If it really is the one millionth one, you should do it up and display it to the public.

Authenticating it is the hard part, I've got a few serious collectors
Helping find details from people they knew from Victa in the day
But so far all the info matches. Victa have no information
