would be good to see a section where people could put up info on how they have found ways to make things easier

example today when i was rewinding the starter spring on my b&s 375 sprint i found it so much easier to wind the spring then hold the pulley against the cowling using vice grips and as such was able to use both hands to feed the rope in and not have to hold the pulley

so an area where things like that could go would be nice

another thought would be how to do things without access to the special tools eg genuine victa tools or briggs tools ect ect as i dont have any of those tools and im sure im not the only one who doesent.

emmo1980,

Glad to see some members taking an interest on how to make the forum more user freindly.

As to your question I think what you would be wanting would be an area in both the two stroke and four stroke forums that has a sub forum.

Like Questions on Lawn Mowers & Engines and then a Subforum in Victa Lawn Mowers & Engines which would be Repair Tips and Tricks For Two Stroke Motors which would also have pictures as well to help with the tips.

Let me know if that is the type of thing that you are wanting.

Bruce,

yes that is what i mean just somewhere to put tips on how to make jobs easier how to do things without special tools and /or how to make your own tools to help get the job done ect ect i think most people would have something they have come up with that makes life easier just need somewhere to put it all in the one place

hope that makes sense to you

emmo1980,

Have you looked at the video area as it has some good tips as well on doing general stuff like servicing mowers and trimmers.

If you post a request on what you are trying to do I will try and do something.

I will add a sub forum to the Victa area to start but nobody will be able to post there so that it will be kept tidy for everyone to read.

So get started and post in the Victa lawnmowers and Engines and I will reply with a link to the new area.

Hi Bruce, Den here. I've been trying to find the repair manual for the suzuki/rover two stroke ,but I have no idea how to navigate around the site. I'm not very computer literate so I have a harder time than most. Any tips would be appreciated.

ta Den
