As the heading says, check out this very good example of an original 20 Inch,Kirby Powered, Series 1, Model 45.

It seems to have a great catcher which is damm hard to find and overall is a fine example of the hard to obtain 20 inch version.
So if you are in Victoria look at this ePrey listing.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SCOTT-BONNAR-KIRBY-VICTA-BRIGGS-MODEL-45-3HP-MOWER-/162523711272

Cheers,
BB.

PS. Once the listing has ended I will get Jack to remove this post as it will no longer be relevant.

G'day Mod BB, Ken and Norm
I have just seen this one and I express BB's sentiments.

This is a Model 450431, the first iteration of the Model 45 20".
The condition is remarkable.

I hope it goes to a loving home. It should be saved!!!

For the record:-

Well, the price is promising for the seller.

Speaking relatively, a quality, large reel mower is cheap at this price.
What would a new comparison machine sell for ... nowadays?

The beauty of this machine is that it has been well garaged and is original.
This was a high-speced Model 45 - of commercial grade.

Well the machine in question at this stage appears to have sold at a whopping price of $772, that's just a few bucks shy of $800.

Who says old mowers are just worthless pieces of junk ??, well some are while others still command big bucks and good 45's, especially 20 inch machines are in the latter category.

Cheers,
BB

$800 is not a lot of money to pay for a good working piece of equipment that can be put straight to work
