Just a thought....
I have used this on another forum and think it will help people put questions/news up that don't have a particular category.. just like we have a "non related topic"area for ie: jokes...ETC..
It would be useful for a "general topic" say for general discussions re: help, news, mowers, etc..?????
what do you think ???
example 1, saw the news the other day re: sale of Victor Mowers to overseas bigger company.....(brigs/strat.)
example 2, i need help !, I've got this mower that wont start !!! what shall i do ???
Cheers Bill.......... Project soon to start...........

Billy Boy, Sorry about the phone conversation this afternoon as I had a lot on my mind but after speaking to you I sat down and read your post. Just wanted to make sure that this is what you are talking about and if so I will be looking at adding it very soon. Would you be suggesting that we have a general discussion area in Questions on Lawn Mowers and Engines so that people can just use it for anything that might be related to lawnmowers and engines?Let me know as it won't take long to set it up.
Regards, Bruce Please do not PM me asking for support. Post on the forums as it helps all members not just the individual.

SIMILAR.... I Thought it should go just under "off topic" as it's for every thing on this site and not just mowers....

Bill, In general discussion we have already a forum called off topic and that is where people can post anything they wish. Do you want a sub forum in the off topic forum and what do you think it should be called.

Hi Bruce, I now understand that "off topic" means everything off topic & all other on topics including misc mower questions & help questions..... .... therefore no extra area is needed...Maybe for the New Novice People the "off topics" area be a little more clear ??? eg: say edit the comments below "off topics" to "A place to relax & talk about anything inc: misc, help, comedy & news to share. It's not that important, I'm happy as it is
Cheers Bill.......... Project soon to start...........

Hey Bill, I think you have come up with a good idea, and that is maybe a tutorial explaining the terminology of the site topic....eg. what "Off Topic" means etc...but also explaining the various new features and.....most importantly, how to use them correctly. Has anyone got any ideas? KIndest Regards, Darryl

OFF TopicA place to relax and talk about anything forum relatedThe "forum related" part might be a little confusing for some people, perhaps this would be better, From news and current affairs to just plain fun. Just an idea

Hey gmax, From news and current affairs to just plain fun. I think that is a good idea, Anything that makes it easier for our members to understand. I also believe a site tutorial explaining all the new features would also work well, and , to that end, I think Bruce is working on that, time permitting. Kindest Regards, Darryl
