Hey Howdy from Houston. My wife picked up a 26" Montgomery wards riding mower 1977. I got it running but I'm looking for a manual.

Any way hope to find some advice and share our fun.

Victa ride-ons have always been US-manufactured rebadges, so it would be no surprise that very similar/identical models would be sold as 'house brands' by the US big box chain stores. Sears, Montgomery Wards, and so forth.

The earliest Victa ride-on models back in the 1970's were made by MTD, and this continued until fairly recent times, when Noma and Murray came into favour.

Rob, is there any sign of a model details decal, located beneath the seat?

One of my funnier moments was a few years back, when I was working in the oil & gas industry. The office phone was diverted to my company mobile after hours, and I was standing in a mate's gunshop, having a yarn with him, when the mobile rang.

It was Houston on the line, regarding a problem! It was actually ExxonMobil's global IT helpdesk, calling about a 'trouble ticket' I'd raised earlier in the day.

I do not think your tractor sold in AUS.
I am not sure about the Victa connection either.

Montgomery Ward was a retailer - so I guess it was re-branded.
It is possible the machine was also re-branded as a Victa here.

An image of the machine will be required.
If we recognise it we should be able to help with a manual.
