wheels independent of the rear ones (for contour following.) Stiga weren't
the first to make an articulated ride-on mower, but were the first to offer
that feature on these shores.
The Stiga was
stunning and stylish to look at and
ergonomic and safe to use.
Consider the specification: electric start, large silencer, 5+1 straight
shift gearbox, differential, sprung seat, interlock safety switches, 3-blade
40" cutter deck, rear drum brakes ... and a halogen headlight!
This was not a commercial grade mower, nor did it pretend to be.
It was designed for owner operators on large suburban blocks.
