Hello can anyone help me with this type of carburetter the problem is the engine will not run past tick over this carb as been apart about 10 times full strip down and clean no joy every time . Got my hands on a spare one to test the engine engine working fine.
refitted the problem one to find when you shut the fuel off the engine runs propaley turn fuel back on engine revs drop to tick over whats going on

Hi John no idea about what carby it is but turning the fuel off and it runs properly indicates to a float needle problem

will get my hands on spare and replace the float and hope it solves it

John if you have pressure tester try inverting the carburetor and make sure the needle seat isn't leaking. Could be leaking pass the sealing washer.

Weird looking carburetor to me.

Zenith small engine carbs are weird devices. confused James N Kirby Industries made Lauson vertical shaft engines under licence here in Oz, back in the 1960's.

Their early LV30 models were fitted with the Zenith AH914-B2 - the only carb I've ever encountered that has a spherical float!

thanks all the times iv'e taken this apart i have never noticed a washer will take a another look to day smile

the carb is fitted to a suffolk 75cc cast iron block which i'm sure i've seen some young man in OZ doing one up. the engine is fitted to super colt lawn mower made here in the uk
