the weak link with these mowers....has anyone tried repairing one of these ( CH86814A ) either the clutch doesn't release (which can be pretty hairy, the speed l have mine set at) or the wheels lock up and you can't pull it backwards making it almost impossible to turn. This is my 3rd gearbox so l'd like to know if they are fixable rather than dish out another $230.....
Hi Redeye, do they use the 3 speed Honda gearbox, if so we know they are a weak component. I pulled one apart recently and I didn't find what had caused it to loose drive but I think the problem was the pinion was not meshing properly with the crownwheel
