In 2014 I experimented by fitting these LED lights to a Mustang GTS . It didn't work as the vibration would cause the batteries to fall out. Looked awesome while they worked. They looked like daytime running lights but illuminated at night so well that mowing in pitch black darkness would have been possible, had they worked. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2017/04/full-1365-33691-p1060026.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2017/04/full-1365-33692-p1060025.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2017/04/full-1365-33693-p1060027.jpg)
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

That's sacrilege, screwing holes into a good Vortex engine cover !
I live a 24 Hour lifestyle, but every now and again I seem to fall asleep, well at least that's what my wife tells me.

It does look like the cowl was is awesome condition as well.Would have been better to use double sided tape and least then it could have been removed easier.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Many years ago when I was working and I was also working like crazy on this place, cutting the grass was always something that got left to the last minute and often happened at dusk or later and I often wished I had lights on the mower but that was way before they came out with all these LED lights. These days I have no problems with mowing my lawns in the dark, the "Jims" man does them for me.

I wish I didn't give it away. I just didn't appreciate how lucky I had been to find one in that shape, not to mention the apparent cult following they have around here. I got another in a job lot but it has a badly worn base with a hole on one side (that I filled in) and a crack in the engine cover but it cuts grass alright and still looks good doing it. Thanks Gadge for showing us one that has it. A bit reminiscent of my lights.

Would there be a way to wire up a pair of small aftermarket halogen driving lights that run as the mower is going? Perhaps using one of the kill wires?

MF, running halogen lights could cause problems for motorists particularly if you happen to be mowing your nature strip (verge to some) if the alignment is not set correctly and the other issue is where you could mount the other motor to run the alternator to power these halogen lights
