Hello Ken
No relevant records seem to have survived.
The best I can do is c1950s for your machine. Maybe flywheel stamping might reveal a date for the engine? The 25C engine use seems to indicate an early machine.
I would like to know the cutting width of your machine...
I thank you for saving this one. It is certainly part of our lawnmower history.

Hi Ken and Mod CJ,
The thing that gives it away as being an early version is that the ID plate is marked as SC and then the later machines were denoted as 17 due to it being a Model 17.
If you look at all the early model 45's built around 1968 ~ 1970 you'll see that their ID plates were marked as 45 XXXXX the same way as the Supercut of the same era was marked 17 XXXXX opposed to early production SC XXXXX.
Cheers, BB.

Hi Ken,
I would suggest that this Supercut is post 1956 as the carburettor on this one only started to be used around 1956/7. I know that one of my Atco mowers has the same carburettor and this one is a 1956/7 mower.
Kind regards,
Sir Chook
