The pull cord on the starter does not go back in due to insufficient tension probably. I have tried to repair but have not been successful. I am able to buy an after market complete assembly including pull rope and cowl, are they any good or should I get the original Honda part.

The genuine is far more superor bu it comes down to cost in cases like this.
