Hi all I have come accros what I beleive is a rotomo engine whci has been converted to take a starter cup so that it is now started with the standard recoil starter . .This has been done by shortening the top shaft and drilling it and fitting a stud into the shaft and a alloy cup onto the entop end of the stud, .The stud is double ended with 2 sizes. / Just wondering why they did not use the double ended nut to convert?aybe the rotomo shaft is a different height and the double ended nut would put the starter cup too high . Anybody got any ideas Cheers Joe

Joe I think that was the old villiers two stroke motor. I have a friend that has the old villiers utility mower which has the bolt type height adjuster at the rear center of the frame.

I will see if he can pop in to see me so that I can take a picture so that you can all see. He is a contractor that has been around since the year dot and still used the mower even though the base is rusting out. cheers2
