Hi,

I have been a Forum Looker "lurker" for a few months now to get some ideas on improving my grass, soil and mowing tips.

Now have decided to take the jump and join the forum.

Have been inspired by my Grandfather to have a nice lawn like him and have purchased a what seems to be a Qualcast 1954 P1 and restore it to use weekly and not to sit in the shed and perish.

Thanks

Hello LDU

A warm welcome from me.

I am amazed at the experts in lawn care on these great forums.
I love reading their stories and envy their lawns.

The 1954 Qualcast P1 is the desirable one - such an odd power sidewheel:

I feel your Grandfather speaks wisely - a nice lawn has many benefits,
both aesthetic and commercial. I thank you for preserving a great
lawnmower that defined Australia in the 1950s.

Please keep us informed.

Yes LDR

Owning a vintage lawnmower does present challenges.
Life was not meant to be easy.
