Afternoon Jack and Folks,
Couple of observations.
-That's the first 'red' I've seen with pneumatic front wheels.
We have seen a few before now. However, I don't doubt that at least some of them are retrofits - I'd say the semi-pneumatics would skid badly on wet grass.
-guessing that pile of dirt in front of the blade was a bit of wishful thinking

Yer, most likely pushed up by a backhoe or such - it does look like a council worksite scene, to me.
-slasher is on and so is the deck. How is that so re: PTO? Perhaps the slasher was just bolted up for the photo.
Agreed. It isn't possible to have both the centre mower deck
and PTO setup for the front mount slasher mounted at the same time.
-again there is 6hp and 8hp options. I think we noticed this on the other brochure. Perhaps Gadge can shed light here. I've only ever seen G65 and smaller and the G65 is plated at 6.8hp.
Greenfield did stretch the Honda OEM horsepower ratings a bit. They always referred to the G65 as '8hp', so I guess it's not unexpected to refer to the 5hp rated G50 as 6hp.
Honda did produce the 8hp rated G80 series, but it didn't come out until 1975, which was after the 'Super HD8' model was superseded. As you'll recall, we do have a record of a 'Tractor 8' series fitted with that engine -

+ a big 1! It seems that we're creating a comprehensive record of Greenfield models here, which aren't all recorded in the maker's files...
