hello again , can anyone tell me how to date this machine ? cant find much id on it but maybe i'm looking in the wrong place i was told it hadnt run for @ 9 years . a check over another fuel tap and some line and it fired 2nd pull and sounded sweet . needs a good sharpen though .. seems it all works well apart from that , heres a few pic's of it as it is

Hi Dave, what a great score....Qualcast are a very strong little machine and this looks in very good nick for its age. Plenty of meat left on the cylinder reel and also on the bedknife as well. thankyou deejay , very helpfull place the only probs with it on a closer look . its missing airfilter foam and belt is still there but not happy . allgood so far . thanks again Dave
Sold in UK as Suffolk Super Punch it was a very popular machine. I ve not found a reliable way to date but it has the metal starter but plastic rollers ( which may not be original),so I would guess 1970-71. Later models has plastic starter and from 1974 the valve chest cover attached by two screws rather than stud in the middle .
