Hi everyone,
I've had this old Qualcast push mower under the back for years, I think it came from dad's aunt's house when she died. On the wheels it says QUALCAST MADE IN ENGLAND, and in blue writing it says Super Clipper 22 Ball Bearing. On the left hand side inside the wheel it says L 7670 LH, on the right same spot it says L 7669 RH. Does this give any idea how old it is? I've attached some pics as well. The 3rd pic kinda shows the numbering mentioned.
Cheers,
Kelsey

Should also mention it still cuts extremely well.. not sure if it's ever had a sharpen.

Hey Kelsey, what a ripper "Clipper" lol
I would hazard a guess at it's age being from the mid 1950's -early 60's. The rubber tyres and unusual rear roller plus the handle design seem to be from this period.
I will try and do some research for you. smile

Hey Darryl,
Cool.. we have another one sitting down there too, it looks older, has a wooden roller but the wheels are still rubber or plastic or whatever it is so it may just have not been looked after as well. I generally use these mowers for the longer grass that the 33 can't really cut.

Cheers,
Kelsey

I think the numbers are the part numbers for the cast iron sides! Made from 1930s to about 1980 and known as B1 and very popular. A cheap poor Chinese copy is still sold in the UK
