RESPONSE to the Greenfield Super 8 Brochure
https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/79599/GREENFIELD_-_Super_8_Brochure_.html---------------------------------------------------Thanks once again Jack for your efforts. And thanks to your mate Eric and please pass on my appreciation.
Couple of comments:
The last brochure you profiled showed a machine in a manicured park in the city centre. This one shows wonderful Australian surroundings and demonstrates the machine doing something closer to that which we ask of them in real life! A much better photo me thinks.
The brochure uses the term 'super 8', the sticker says 'HD8' and the IPC I have for this model (printed a while after this brochure?) describes it as a 'Super HD8'. My suspicion is that they were flexible and 'organic' when it came to the boring marketing stuff. No planning this stuff out to within an inch of its life at numerous and tedious marketing meetings. The product was the important bit and slight changes to badging and wording was no big deal. Just my gut feeling based.....well, not much really.
They mention a PTO. A quick look at the IPC confirms the dog clutch that was fitted to the Red machines and allowed for the quick removal of the cutter deck and the installation of other equipment disappeared with the yellow beasts. I can't figure out what replaces it on the Yellows. From the photos it's clear that the deck is supposed to be easily removed and the front mount slasher option drives from something but I'm at a loss as to how based on the IPC. My own yellow still resides at my parents place some 700km away so not easy to examine

Perhaps someone can help here.
Thanks again Jack and Eric
