Any suggestions how to remove ants from couch lawn ? Have tried the granules from bunnings but i find as i put that down, a new nest hole comes up a metre or so away from the one i poisoned. I was considering buying a Poo load of the granules to dust over the lawn as I've just top dressed it so lawn hasn't thickly covered the sand yet. This would be pretty expensive though i think 165m2 of lawn. Very very annoying as they put raised holes all over the place. Any suggestions ?
Cheers

Hi Jim,The best product will have a chemical called "Fipronil"in it.I think you would need to get it thru an Agricultural store. It's expensive but people in my area usually buy it as a group and devide it.Important to use as directed it has a low application rate so it will last along time. The ants can't sense it so they carry it all thru their nest to the queen. We have a big problem with funnel ants in my area and it's by far the best. Some commercial operators will offer between a 3 and 5 year guarantee

Thanks guys ! Is this something i would only apply to an ant hill that comes up or would i lightly spread it over entire lawn ? Im assuming that because they can't sense it i only need to apply it on and around the ant hill. I'm not sure if the bunnings stuff they are sensing and moving or if its actually killing them.
Appreciate the help / info.
