G'day all

I'm hoping someone can offer their thoughts here.
This is in RESPONSE to my posting of the Victa Ride-on and Other Products brochure.

The first reference to Victa ride-ons was in the 1975 Range booklet.

The photo seems to display very odd looking machines, in terms
of colour and, with the machine in the foreground, a very odd mower.

I suspect these were 'mock-ups' or pre-production machines.
For example, the yellow one (foreground) was replaced by the 5-26(?).
Was white used at all on Victa ride-ons?

G'day Jack, G'day Folks,

The scary thing for me is that I remember that brochure! When in primary school I used to spend a bit of time in the mower shop just down the street from dads work. Used to walk there after school and hang around a bit cause dads office was pretty boring and there was little else of interest in that part of town. Used to hang a bit downstairs in the workshop. Always looked forward to a new month cause that meant new pictures on the calendars they had down there smile
Remember when workshop calendars were not required to be politically correct.

G'day prd
I'm sure many members will remember those CBC Bearings calendars with their
grease nipples and big ends - somewhat similar to the Pirelli ones... smirk

The little yellow ride-on is interesting. Note the top of the
deck and front wheel look to have grass stains. I wonder if
all these machines were photo shoot mock-ups.

I'm thinking this was the earlier model MTD (Bolens?) ride-on.
Victa actually changed to, perhaps, a re-designed version.

Alternatively, these were production machines that did sell
here for a very short time (months).
