G'day PRD and Gadge

Thanks very much PRD for sending that link.
Gadge sent the same link to me as well.

It does somewhat clarify the situation.
It was a real surprise to me!

So I guess Theo was employed by the Anderson family, and that
he was involved with the 'pre-Rover' - the Wizard - as well.

The article claims Theo named 'Rover' lawnmowers!

I wish we knew more about his departing Rover.
Quite an amazing man was Theo Reinhold.

thanks again Jack for some interesting stuff.
i have 3 rovers with these side catchers and it had never dawned on me that you could
just tip to empty rather than removing the whole thing. cheers2

G'day Gizmo, PRD and Gadge
That's an interesting point you make there Gizmo.

The whole idea of 'catching' grass is fascinating to an anal anorak, like me...

I feel Theo Reinhold's patent captured a certain 'truth' about the Aussie lifestyle...
mowing could be fun (or OK) if it was done quickly.

His contribution to our vintage mower history is largely un-recognised.
I am disappointed that the Greenfield website had done little to celebrate
its history - in its 50th year!

Theo's brilliance is underestimated - and under-recognised - in understanding
our vintage mower history ... by Greenfield itself!
